Uwuracha is the new hypercute genre currently being raved about all over South America's underground club world. After Nina Kraviz's guaracha video recently went viral it's no telling how fast this genre will be hitting your favorite dj's crates. Leave it to native proponents Brenda and Maria Manuela to take us on a sonic exploration of the techno-guaracha sound itself!
𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚 is a Bogotá-based dj/producer, architect, 3d animator and artist. He began his musical journey producing edits and original tracks unique to trance & techno with modern and folkloric sounds from Latin America. Mav aka Brenda, concentrates his style on the sounds of plunderphonics, joropo, guaracha, reggaeton, cumbia, breakbeat, jersey club, baile funk and more. Brenda has had the honor of collaborating with NAAFI, Muakk, NOFUTUREBERLIN and Kiosk Radio.
𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐚 is a DJ/producer, artist and fashion designer from Bogotá. Her musical catalogue varies between baile funk, latin club, dembow and guaracha. She mixes these genres and Latin American sounds with samples derived from pop. From childhood she approached the world of music thanks to her older brothers who lived the era of raves in bogota in the 2000's. She has had the honor of being featured on Neotropica, Kiosk Radio, and several releases/edits with Brenda.
